Scala is a jewelry project developed around a forging system. In this context, forging refers to the process of shaping metal through controlled pressure and temperature. The goal was to design a set of mechanical tools that could support and streamline the artisanal production of jewelry pieces.
The form of the pendant was inspired by steps and levels—each one representing a stage in the production process. This concept guided the design of the piece, which features three distinct layers.
To build the system, three custom tools were created: a press cutter made from carbon steel, a CNC-machined texture plate in the same material, and a nylamid stuffer used with a hydraulic press to shape the final form.
The result is a pendant made from copper and silver, developed through a process that balances craft and mechanical precision.
